On the afternoon of December 25, 2025, a delegation from Quy Nhon University, led by Dr. Nguyen Thanh Binh, Coordinator of Project 6 (SP6) under the IUC-funded program, paid a working visit to University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City. The meeting focused on in-depth discussions regarding libraries, information technology, e-learning, and digital transformation in higher education.<\/span><\/p>\n

The meeting took place in an open and constructive atmosphere, with the participation of representatives of the leadership and professional staff from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, including the Library Board of Directors, the Information Technology Center, the Office of Student Affairs, the Office of Academic Affairs, and the Office of External Relations and Scientific Management. Both sides shared experiences, implementation models, and practical issues encountered in the development of modern library systems, e-learning platforms, and digital services for learners.<\/span><\/p>\n

Regarding library services, representatives from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities introduced solutions for sharing and exploiting digital resources, aiming toward the joint use of electronic databases, collaborative acquisition of resources, and the sharing of institutional materials such as theses and graduation projects in full-text format. Issues related to scientific database management, the development of digital-based reader services, and strategies to attract students to library spaces were also discussed in detail, closely linked to practical operational experiences.\"\"<\/span><\/p>\n

Modern learning and research spaces at the library<\/span><\/i><\/span><\/p>\n

Regarding e-learning and digital transformation, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City shared its experience in developing and operating a Learning Management System (LMS) based on the latest version of the Moodle platform, which is synchronized with the academic management system and course registration application. Digital services for students have met most learning and administrative needs, ranging from course registration and leave requests to information lookup and the submission of online requests. The University is also preparing for the 2026\u20132030 digital transformation phase, with a strategic orientation toward significant investment in infrastructure, data systems, and artificial intelligence applications.<\/span><\/p>\n

One issue that attracted particular interest from the delegation of Quy Nhon University was the development of teams responsible for software development and the application of AI in academic management and student support. Organizational models, task allocation, as well as experiences in investing in and implementing AI solutions were thoroughly discussed by both sides, closely linked to the practical needs and conditions of each institution.<\/span><\/p>\n

In addition to the official working program, the delegation from Quy Nhon University visited and explored the library facilities of University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City. The learning spaces, equipment, technological infrastructure, and reader support services left a positive impression on the delegation and provided practical insights for further improving the quality of library services at Quy Nhon University in the coming period.<\/span><\/p>\n

The working session also served as an opportunity for the two institutions to strengthen their connections, share experiences, and explore future directions for cooperation. Such exchanges contribute to promoting innovation in university governance and to the sustainable and effective development of libraries, e-learning, and digital transformation initiatives.<\/span><\/p>\n
