DLR\u00a0<\/strong>–\u00a0As part of the third Coordination Week of Phase I of the IUC-QNU Programme, on June 5, 2025, Quy Nhon University held a working session with experts from the Kingdom of Belgium and members of Project 6. The session focused on discussing and formulating a strategic direction for the development of E-Learning\u2014one of the university’s key initiatives in its digital transformation journey and a critical driver of innovation in teaching methodologies.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

Speaking at the working session, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Doan Duc Tung \u2013 Rector of Quy Nhon University \u2013 acknowledged the valuable contributions and extended his sincere thanks to the experts for their presence and participation in this session. He emphasized that the development of E-Learning is a vital component of the university\u2019s strategy to innovate teaching methodologies. It is not only a solution to enhance training quality but also an effective step towards adapting to modern educational trends and meeting the growing demand for flexible learning in the digital age.<\/span><\/p>\n

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Doan Duc Tung \u2013 Rector of Quy Nhon University \u2013 emphasized that the development of E-Learning is one of the university’s key initiatives in its strategy to innovate teaching methodologies<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

In his leadership role, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Doan Duc Tung personally attended the session to listen to, engage with, and exchange ideas with stakeholders. His active involvement reflected the university\u2019s commitment to shaping concrete directions for the advancement of a QNU-centered E-Learning model in the near future.<\/span><\/p>\n

At the session, Prof. Martin Valcke from Ghent University (Kingdom of Belgium) shared strategic approaches to E-Learning development. He also offered several recommendations for the university, including: clearly defining the E-Learning model it aims to implement; selecting appropriate technological systems while ensuring that learner assessment is closely integrated with testing and quality assurance; and establishing a unified set of standards for E-Learning instruction.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

Dr. Nguyen Thanh Binh \u2013 Leader of Project 6 \u2013 provided an overview of the project’s activities, including components related to E-Learning<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

In addition, Prof. Martin Valcke suggested that the university should make a number of strategic decisions regarding the E-Learning Center model. These include identifying priority evaluation standards, developing a comprehensive list of E-Learning courses, and establishing clear policies for both faculty members and human resource management units.<\/span><\/p>\n

Throughout the session, participants engaged in lively and in-depth discussions on various aspects of E-Learning implementation, including deployment models, standards for digital learning materials, faculty support policies, and technological solutions tailored to the specific context of Quy Nhon University. The ideas and contributions shared during the session provided valuable insights and practical suggestions for building an effective E-Learning ecosystem in the near future.<\/span><\/p>\n

In his concluding remarks, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Doan Duc Tung highly appreciated the insights and recommendations provided by Prof. Martin Valcke\u2014particularly those concerning the E-Learning Center model and issues related to faculty competency assessment, an area the university is currently developing. The Rector affirmed that appropriate adjustments will be made in the university\u2019s management practices to enhance the effectiveness of E-Learning implementation at QNU.<\/span><\/p>\n
